Sculpting a face - take 2
For Alien Earth, I had the small, but enjoyable task of resculpting the face of Berger, a marine grunt who gets his face completely evisarated by a Xenomorph in Alien Earth. This is one of those funny siutations where I massively enjoyed the work and am proud of it, but also not entirely sure i can take credit. The orgional digi model was done (to my knowledge) by my friend Dan Mason before MPC collpased. When untold studios picked up the work to complete the task, I had to recreate some of the file that were missing in the handover, this included the sculpt of Berger's face. So i think Dan deserves credit too! The task was to sculpt up damage for both the surface detail scratches/gorging and also the interior damage to the teeth and gums. The whole thing was compelte in zbrush in only 3 days, but it was a fun task and an iconic show. take a look at some of my sculpt stills as well as the final shots.
