Rings of Power: Season 2
Whilst working at ILM, I had the pleasure of working on season 2 of The Lord of the Rings: Rings of power
I was the lead modeller and worked on a variety of assets, including the Balrog, The giant Eagle, several digi doubles and The puddle creature. In this post I'm going to show some of the work on the puddle creature specifically.
I took over from our super talented artist Antoine Verney Carron, whom I have previously worked with on Antman: Quantumania. Antoine had done our original concept sculpt for the Puddle creature, so i had a great base to start from
my role on this creature was to provide 2 meshes: an early stage of development with many limbs and a later stage that would only have 4 legs, as it slowly turned into a human form
